The Novel Coronavirus has created so many changes to our daily lives in such a short amount of time that it is truly head-spinning. This is only a partial list of the many stressors you may be experiencing: the loss of a loved one, the loss or downsizing of your job, working from home, homeschooling kids, the inability to visit with friends and relatives, falling ill or caring for sick individuals in your home, worrying about how to access medicine and medical services, worrying about money and bills, worrying about vulnerable individuals in your life, dealing with strained relationships in the home, and facing unprecedented amounts of uncertainty in many or most aspects of life. Whew! I believe many of us are experiencing what is called “free-floating anxiety;” a pervasive baseline of anxiety that drains our reserves and sometimes bubbles to the surface in ways that are confusing for us.

As a therapist, I certainly don’t hold the answers that will eventually bring an end to this crisis and restore us to a calmer sense of normalcy. But I am committed to helping existing and new clients grapple with all these changes and stressors. I am available to listen, empathize, brainstorm and explore new perspectives. I can help you stay grounded and recover from your days, apply useful tools to battle strong emotions, and nurture and mend your key relationships.

I am currently accepting new clients, offering my full range of services to adults, couples, families and children, via telehealth / video conferencing. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you address the challenges of this strange and unique time.
