Individual Adult Therapy
At certain times significant losses, disappointments, or just the grind of life threaten to knock us off our developmental path. It becomes clear that we need to regroup, focus inward and work through feelings or decisions that have become overwhelming. At these times, individual therapy makes the most sense.
Our work together will build on your strengths as we seek to change how you respond to your challenges, emotions, habits and limitations. I believe that individual therapy creates change in two ways; through conscious and deliberate efforts to learn and adopt new coping skills, and through the transforming power of a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship.
Common issues addressed: Anxiety, depression, relational issues, feelings of stuckness or burn-out, career issues, grief and loss, parenting challenges, old habits and beliefs, trauma, anger and shame, and men’s issues.
